Meaning of Colours - Yellow

Yellow stimulates the intellect
Yellow is the colour of joy, happiness and the intellect. It stimulates intelligence, communication, energy and has a cheerful, warming effect.

Yellow in a place of study increases learning ability but in a baby's room can make the baby tearful.

Yellow is seen to be light hearted and spontaneous and would not be taken seriously in high-powered businesses.

The Solar Plexus chakra vibrates with the colour yellow and eating yellow foods such as bananas, yellow peppers, pineapples maintains a harmonious Solar Plexus chakra.

The Solar plexus chakra governs personal power and self belief and the element Fire. This is the "fire in the belly" and courage to achieve. A lack of "fire in the belly" would produce a "yellow Belly" or cowardy custard. The sense associated with yellow is sight and this is the centre of clairsentience (clear sensing).

If your car is yellow, it states that you are joyful and young at heart.

Yellow stimulates the nervous system, calms the stomach and clears skin problems. An unhappy liver creates a yellowing of the skin. Yellow shouts "be a liver".

In the Tarot the Major Arcana cards there is an abundance of yellow in The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, the Empress, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Moon and The Sun card.

Many sunflowers adorn The Sun card encouraging us to do as the Sunflowers do - look to the light with a cheerful disposition.

The Sun and Moon in the Moon card show conscious and subconscious thoughts and ideas.
